If you’re at at your computer right now and bored with the “real” Twitter, then take a look at a paper version. Yes, the Twitter Bird-House is a simple construction that can be simply made with paper and your home printer. Just print off the 2-page PDF (download here) and have fun,!
The concept was dreamed-up by German interaction designer, Mareike Leder who just wants you to have fun by creating your own paper bird house, apparently. So, How to Build a Twitter Birdhouse? Check out the images below which show photos of its construction…

I’ve used my iPad in many ways before, but I’ve never used a retro-style ‘USB typewriter computer keyboard’ with it! But this is exactly what the online store USBtypewriter has brought to the market place. No doubt it would be a great conversational piece, and some retro fans may be into this kind of thing I suppose. It looks great, I must admit. Take a look at the rest of the photos…

Check out this very unusual animation by Swedish designer, Tomas Nilsson. It’s hard to explain the unique nature of this video (shown right after the screenshots). Basically, it’s a very analytical interpretation of the classic Red Riding Hood fairy tale. The story is expertly dissected into informational blocks, and it’s fascinating and entertaining to watch. I particularly found the scene of the fairy tale wolf being shot through the brain. Oh yes…

Haha! Check out the ‘Anatomy of a Candy Piñata’ shown above. It appears to have little candy tabs for the brain (I think pop-corn would have worked well, too), chocolate hearts, sugar-snake intestines and a sugar-orange stomach. I reckon this photo and concept is really amazing─and I’m sure you love it too!

Here’s a fantastic short video which cleverly shows us the Gulf Oil Spill Facts in a visually-entertaining way. I think the typography is excellent, and the illustration work and animation in ‘Oil’d’ is top-notch─created by Chris Harmon. Take a look at it after the screenshots…
